[ASC-list] Sydney : Sustainable Electricity Generation this TUESDAY

In one week's time (Tuesday 24th June), the Sydney Shove will have a
discussion on sustainable electricity generation, with Mark Diesendorf from
the University of NSW speaking generally and Jaan Boersma speaking on hot dry
rock energy.

Mark Diesendorf teaches, researches and consults at the Institute of
Environmental Studies at the University of NSW.  His interests are in the
interdisciplinary fields of sustainable energy, sustainable urban transport,
theory of sustainability and ecological economics.

Jaan Boersma is a retired physicist from the University of NSW, with a
longtime interest in geothermal energy.

The speakers will have half an hour each to cover their topics, followed by
an hour of questions and discussion.
