[ASC-list] ASC Qld event: Communicating science in indigenous communities - more information

*Communicating science in indigenous communities*        
Come along and hear stories, ask questions and get tips on
communicating science for other cultures.

When: Tuesday 24th June. 6:00pm for a 6:15pm start.

Where: Brisbane CSIRO Education Centre. 120 Meiers Rd, Indooroopilly (first
carpark on the left after entering the gates).
Cost: $5 for members, $10 for guests.
Science communicators with expertise in indigenous engagement will speak of
their experiences in this thought-provoking field. Speakers are:

Adam Gromadzki (Manager, CSIRO Education Centre) - who will speak on science
education within indigenous schools and communities

Kate Mounsey (QIMR) - who will speak on her research in the area of scabies
and her experiences in indigenous communities when discussing this and
associated health issues

Jim Walker (Indigenous Engagement Officer, CSIRO) - who has so much
experience in this field, that he has not yet nailed down what he will speak

Drinks and nibbles will be provided as part of the event.
