Australia Talks - Dark Energy

On Thursday, November 27, ABC Radio National's Australia Talks program
tackles Dark Energy - how does it relate to the big bang - what is
current research telling us - is it matter, is it vacuum, is it a
constant - and whatever happened to the theory of everything?

Leading Australian astronomers, Brian Schmidt and Charley Lineweaver
from the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the
Australian National University, and Tamara Davis from the Department of
Astrophysics at University of Queensland, will discuss their work on
Dark Energy.

Australia Talks presenter Paul Barclay along with Graham Phillips, who
as well as reporting for the ABC TV science show, Catalyst, has a PhD in
astrophysics, will co-host the show.

The program is broadcast around the country on ABC Radio National. It
takes calls from listeners so you can ask a question and contribute to
the discussion. The number to call is 1300 22 55 76.

Australia Talks can be heard after 4pm in the West, after 5pm in
Queensland and the Northern Territory, and after 6pm in the rest of the
country. But if you're in Adelaide, you should call at 5.30 pm. Web site
