[ASC-list] 10th International Ecology Congress to be held in Australia next year

The 10th International Ecology Congress will be held in the southern
hemisphere (in Brisbane Australia) for the first time in its 40 year
history. It's happening next August 2009. See below for more details.

2009. The Congress, bringing together the knowledge and resources of the
Ecological Society of Australia, New Zealand Ecological Society and INTECOL,
will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia
from 16 to 21 August 2009.

Abstract Submission
Authors are now invited to submit abstracts for oral OR poster presentation
for consideration by the Scientific Program Committee. Your 300 word
abstract may be submitted on any topic relevant to the Congress theme;
Ecology in a Changing Climate, Two Hemispheres - One Globe.

Scientific Program
INTECOL 10 will feature speakers from all over the world. Symposia will
represent all scales of ecology from individual organisms to landscapes, and
report on a diversity of ecosystems from marine to freshwater aquatic
systems and terrestrial ecosystems from arid to rainforest and from polar to
tropical.
Visiting delegates will have the opportunity to appreciate the unique biotas
of New Zealand and Australia and the strong basic and applied research
efforts.
