Warman-Weir Engineering Competition
Saturday 27 & Sunday 28 September,

The Powerhouse and Engineers Australia, present the 21st National Warman
Student Design-and-Build Competition, sponsored by Weir Minerals. This
university competition pits teams of undergraduate mechanical
engineering students from across Australia and New Zealand against an
environmental dilemma on the fictional planet of Gondwana.
This years final will run in the Powerhouse Museum's Turbine Hall with
robots competing for the International trophy. This is a very exciting
competition of active and interested young engineers, using cutting-edge
Museum Visitors can watch the competitors set up and practice their runs
in the PLC all day Saturday,
and see the final competition Sunday from 10am to 3.30pm in the Turbine
hall, free with museum entry.
