[ASC-list] Sydney: Reminder: Free public lectures on swine flu and childhood obesity for National Science Week

Dear Sydney ASC members,

You're invited to two free evening public lectures to celebrate National
Science Week at the Kids Research Institute, Children's Hospital at
Westmead. Come and learn about the latest research into swine flu and
childhood obesity, two major public health issues of concern to all
Australians.  
 
WHEN: Tuesday 18 August, 6.30-7.30 pm
"Solving swine flu with science: a vaccine victory?" 
Professor Robert Booy, Head of Clinical Research, National Centre for
Immunisation Research and Surveillance, the Children's Hospital at
Westmead.
 
WHEN: Wednesday 19 August, 6.30-7.30 pm
"Bigger but not better- the growing problem of childhood obesity"  
Dr Sarah Garnett, NHMRC Australian Clinical Research Fellow, and Ms
Susie Burrell, Dietitian, the Children's Hospital at Westmead.
 
WHERE (BOTH LECTURES):  Kerry Packer Building, The Children's Hospital
at Westmead, off Hawkesbury Rd., Westmead. Walk down ambulance driveway
(near the bus stop, off Hawkesbury Road), and turn left at the end to
enter research reception.
