The Fox: an unnatural history of Australia's worst invader

Speaker: Alex Diment (University of Sydney)
When: 7.15pm, Tuesday 25th August 2009
Where: DTA lecture theatre, Heydon-Laurence (Zoology) Building (A08),
               Science Road, University of Sydney

§ Ever wondered about mankind's first ever use of a major technological advance - "the hole"?
§ Any idea what is "by far the greatest menace" to Australia's wild animals?
§ Why did 13th Century Persians tie a fox testicle around the neck of toddlers?
§ And what should a professional Korean assassin have nine of?

Find out how all these are related in an evening of all things vulpine at the Royal Zoological Society (Wildlife section) talk for August.

In honour of the 40th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix playing at Woodstock, I'll also be screening a 15 min warm-up movie with a Foxy theme for those that like to show up early! From 7pm.

Please join us for tea and coffee after the lecture. Everyone welcome!
