APESMA Women in the Professions Survey 2009

The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers,
Australia (APESMA) is currently undertaking its 5th bi-annual Women in
the Professions Survey and is seeking technical professional women,
including engineers, scientists, ICT professionals and pharmacists to
complete the online survey by 15 December 2009.

About the Survey

The survey seeks to gain information regarding the employment
experiences of technical professional women with the aim of informing
government, industry and associations on how to assist women's careers.
The survey includes topics such as retention, barriers to career
progression, training and professional development, workplace culture,
balancing work and life, conditions of employment and equal pay. It
also includes questions regarding workplace bullying, discrimination and
sexual harassment.

The report of the survey is made publicly available on the APESMA
website and is accompanied by data from the APESMA remuneration surveys
which analyse the median total remuneration package by gender and
responsibility level for engineers, scientists, ICT professionals and
community pharmacists.
