[ASC-list] Peter Singer tonight, speaking on "Living Ethically in the 21st Century"

The lecture, entitled "*Living Ethically in the 21st Century*", will touch
on climate change, eating meat and world poverty.
A professor of bioethics at Princeton University and a laureate professor at
the University of Melbourne, Singer has written extensively on many issues
of global importance and will use his lecture to look more broadly at the
sustainability of human societies and the environment in the modern world.
Singer is best known for his book *Animal Liberation*, which is regarded by
some to be fundamental to the formation of the modern animal liberation
movement. His most recent book, *The Life You Can Save: Acting Now to End
World Poverty*, has just been released.
