Dear ASC-ers
Ian Frazer is speaking at the National Press Club this Wednesday (May
27), and we have a free ticket to give away!
Professor Frazer is a lively and highly-entertaining speaker and and a
member of the PM's Science Council.
He won the PM's Prize for Science last year, and was named Australian
of the Year in 2006 for his work on the anti-cervical cancer vaccine
Gardasil.
The National Press Club is at 16 National Circuit, Barton, Canberra.
Lunch is served from 11.45, and the address and subsequent questions
run from 12.30 to 1.30.
If you can't make it, Ian's talk will be screened live by ABC TV.
His address is commissioned by Australian Science Innovations,
organisers of the Science Olympiads; and his talk celebrates the
announcement earlier that day at Parliament House of the three
Australian Teams competing in the Olympiads.
