Inspiring Australia Information Session - 5 May
The National Science Week WA Coordinating Committee invites you to an Inspiring Australia information session. This is your opportunity to hear about the national strategy for engagement with the sciences and find out further information about National Science Week. Presenters include Simon France and Jenny Dettrick from the Science Communication and Strategic Partnerships branch of the Federal Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research. Simon and Jenny are from the team who make projects like National Science Week and the Prime Ministers Prizes for Science happen and they can answer your questions about national science engagement opportunities and provide information about grant writing, innovative projects, collaborations across the country and more.
The session will include:
* A welcome and introduction by Sarah Bugg from Science Partnerships, Scitech
* An overview of Inspiring Australia presented by Simon France and Jenny Dettrick from the Science Communication and Strategic Partnerships branch of the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research
* Inspiring Australia in Western Australia by Sarah Bugg from Science Partnerships, Scitech
* National Science Week 2011 by Claire Patterson from Science Partnerships, Scitech

National Science Week seed grants are still available
The WA National Science Week Coordinating Committee is offering seed grants of up to $1000. The purpose of these grants is to facilitate NEW events, activities or programs that add value to National Science Week in Western Australia. The deadline for applications has been extended until Friday 29th April. For grant criteria and instructions please visit http://www.scienceweek.gov.au/YourState/WA
