CSIRO Education is seeking to fill the position of Deputy Director, Scientists in Schools.

This is an exciting new role that will provide leadership for the national team implementing the highly successful Scientists in Schools program. The program links teachers with scientists, including engineers and mathematicians, and brings real-life science and mathematics into primary and secondary school classrooms across Australia. The Deputy Director will provide leadership, oversee regional operations and guide the promotional and communication aspects of the program. The position is full-time for three years, based in Canberra. The salary range is $83K - $90K per annum plus up to 15.4% superannuation.  Applications close 4 Feb 2011.
