Are
you an experienced communications professional looking to use all your skills
and develop new ones? This could be the opportunity you don’t want to miss.

 

In this role you’ll be working on a range of
online and print communications, including intranet/website content, media
releases, brochures, newsletters, advertorials and other communications
materials. Reporting to the Strategic Communications and Marketing Manager, the
aim of this role is to enhance staff engagement and raise awareness of the
institute and its activities with a view to increasing fundraising revenue to
the institute and recruiting the best staff and students.

 

You’ll have excellent interpersonal, written
and oral communication skills, and an ability to write for a range of
audiences. In your busy day, you will work on a diverse range of projects while
working within a team.

 

You’ll have a tertiary qualification in
communications or demonstrated background in journalism and/or communications.  

 

This position is available for 2 years in the
first instance.


The
Walter and Eliza Hall Institute is home to more than 600 researchers who are
working to understand, prevent and treat diseases including cancer –
particularly blood cancers and breast cancer – type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid
arthritis, coeliac disease, hepatitis and malaria.

Salary is dependent on
qualifications and experience. Up to 17% superannuation and attractive salary
