excellent opportunity exists to join the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute's Community Relations team to promote
the institute as a desired organisation to leave a bequest.
The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute is home to more than 550 scientists
who are working to understand, prevent and treat diseases including cancer –
particularly blood, breast, ovarian and lung cancers - type 1 diabetes,
rheumatoid arthritis, coeliac disease, hepatitis and malaria. The institute is committed to making
fundamental discoveries about the way cells behave and communicate, and seeing
these discoveries translated into benefits for patients.
Trusts and Foundations Manager will be responsible for developing relationships
and maximising income from Trusts and Foundations by engaging with relevant
contacts, researching and writing strategies and submitting applications. In this busy and diverse workplace, the
Trusts and Foundations manager will work collaboratively with the Community
Relations and Development Manager as well as a wide range of scientific and
successful candidate will be a keen team player with strong experience in
managing and developing the trust and foundations function. Advanced skills in
Microsoft Office (Mac) and experience using Raiser’s Edge database would be
highly regarded. A scientific background is essential.
This position is available for 2 years in the first instance. Up to 17% superannuation and very
attractive salary packaging options are available.
