Would you like to help a non-profit NGO improve its online presence so we
can engage better with people with an interest in food security and with our
The Crawford Fund (www.crawfordfund.org) is a non-profit NGO that works to
raise awareness of food security issues and the benefits to developing
countries and Australia from international agricultural research.
A project exists for a web design/development officer to improve our website
to better support the online communication activities of the Fund. This will
involve building and managing our online presence including an upgrade of
our website, incorporating social media platforms and other capabilities to
engage our stakeholders.
We expect the work will initially be the equivalent of three weeks' work
full-time, but can be carried out over two to three months with some
possibility of on-going work, depending on funding availability.

. At least two years' work experience in different forms of
electronic communication including websites, blogs, social media, electronic
. Knowledge of digital multimedia formats including video, audio and
. Knowledge of current Adobe and In Design or similar software
Reporting to the Public Awareness Program Coordinator, the person will:
. Assist with improvements to the existing website using ModX CMS
. Incorporate new platforms to the website
. Draft and edit content
. Train existing web maintenance staff in the basics for the use of
social media and new platforms.
