Event: Art Exhibition - Two Melbourne artists working with atmospheric, climatic and species data - Making Sense at Craft Victoria
When and where: 8th September - 15th October, 2011. Craft Victoria 31 Flinders Lane, Melbourne
Craft Victoria's latest exhibition Making Sense features works by artists Debbie Symons and Jasmine Targett. The artists have utilized diverse data bases including NASA's Ozone Hole Watch and the IUCN Red List Of Threatened Species to inform the works. The exhibition runs until the 15th of October 2011, and is a fascinating example of how science and art can collaborate.
Event:     Public Forum - Art and the Communication of Climate Science Making Sense of how artists and scientists can collaborate on the question of the ozone hole and biodiversity in Antarctica - Craft Victoria
 When and where: Tuesday 20th September, 2011. 6pm - 7pm Craft Victoria 31 Flinders Lane, Melbourne
 Join us for an informative discussion on how art and science can collaborate and make sense of the ecological conundrum. Chaired by Professor Linda Williams, curator and theorist. The evening will provide new ideas and methods on how art and science can enrich each other's disciples, generating a further understanding of environmental issues.
