Dear ASC'ers,

Know a top scientist whose contribution hasn't been recognised? Or an emerging leader in science? Or an early career women scientist who's going great guns?

Nominations for the Prime Minister's Prizes for Science and L'Oréal Australia and New Zealand For Women In Science Fellowships are closing in the next two weeks.

Also coming up:

· a NASA submariner is visiting Melbourne for an international 'hackathon'

· a travel grant scheme opens soon to send our best young PhD students to conferences and courses at EMBL - the European Molecular Biology Laboratory - courtesy of EMBL Australia.

There's more on all of the above - and other science prizes/events - in our latest bulletin. You can read it online at www.scienceinpublic.com.au<http://www.scienceinpublic.com.au>.

Kind regards,

Niall Byrne
