Wednesday 8th August 5:45pm.  Crowd Control: The Principles of Collective
Join Iain Couzin, special guest from Princeton University, to discover how
individual behaviour contributes to group dynamics and how large animal
groups can move in unison.   Iain will provide a visual guide to his
research on the principles of collective behaviour in crowds, flocks,
schools and swarms 

Monday 13th August 7:00pm.  Sleek Geeks Comedy Show at Town Hall. Celebrate
this year's National Science Week with a live show starring everyone's
favourite Sleek Geeks, Adam Spencer and Dr Karl Kruszelnicki.  Free

Wednesday 15th August 5:45pm.  Gorgeous Geometry: Art, Optics & Butterflies.
Join Associate Professor Poladian on a gorgeous geometric journey from the
mathematics of geometry in art to how geometry and optics combine to produce
the amazing colours of butterflies.
