The Pacific-Australia Climate Change Science and Adaptation Planning (PACCSAP) program is a $32 million program funded by AusAID and managed by the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency (DCCEE). It runs until June 2013. The goal is to develop the capacity of Pacific island scientists, decision-makers and planners to access and apply information and tools to identify and develop in-country adaptation responses. CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology are delivering climate change science and capacity building initiatives as part of this program.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Communication Support Officer who will play an important role in the delivery of information to partner country stakeholders and the preparation of varied communication products. In particular, you will provide support services to the PACCSAP Science Communication Advisor and interact with scientists, regional organisations and partner countries involved in the PACCSAP to ensure clear and timely communication and documentation of all project activities.
