[ASC-list] Floodlines: a living memory

Floodlines: a living memory in SLQ Gallery, level 2, features digital
participation in the Flood and Cyclone Mosaic by Queenslanders'
storytelling of their experiences of the disasters of 2010-2011;
augmented reality technology in an app (available on the exhibition's
iPads or downloadable free from the iTunes app store) that allows you to
simulate the rise and fall of the Brisbane River across the CBD and
affected suburbs; a children's corner; a space for reflection and a
Flood of Ideas from the community on Flood Proofing Queensland.

Floodlines: 19th century Brisbane in Philip Bacon Heritage Gallery,
level 4, curated by historian, Helen Gregory, probes the history of the
1893 floods. For information on the exhibitions, please visit

Where: State Library of Queensland
When: Thursday 21 June 2012, 1pm-5pm (including refreshments and
self-guided visit)
Cost: $25 (inc GST); $20 (inc GST) MAQ & RGAQ members; concessions,
volunteers, students
