Oceans Alive 2012, Wednesday May 9, 2012 6.30pm

I would be delighted if you would attend ECOCEAN’s Gala Fundraiser, Oceans Alive 2012, at Frasers Kings Park, Wednesday 9 May 2012.   Our Master of Ceremonies will be Australian television and film icon, Ernie Dingo, AM. We are also fortunate to have secured short talks from:

  *     WA’s Chief Scientist Professor Lyn Beazley
  *     Whale Shark expert Brad Norman
  *     Sawfish expert Dr. David Morgan
  *    Great White Shark expert Dr. Barry Bruce

Funds raised at the event will enable ECOCEAN to expand its community education projects and undertake specific research for the conservation of the whale shark and its surrounding marine environment.

ECOCEAN is a Western Australian not-for-profit group focused on research, education and conservation of marine life in Australia. Since 1995, we have been studying the whale shark population off Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia.  Our work has increased the current knowledge of this species, gained protection under Commonwealth and International legislation, and raised awareness for the conservation concerns facing the whale shark on a global scale.
