Evaluating Science Communication activities
An ASC professional development workshop

We all want to do it, some of us attempt to do it, but how many of us evaluate our communication activities effectively?

When it comes to our public engagement and communication activities, evaluation is often a last minute thought, done poorly or in a way that doesn't align with your objectives.

This hands-on workshop will take you one step beyond the evaluation basics and get you started on ways to produce meaningful evaluation data. So bring your own case studies and events that you would like to or wished you had evaluated. You will get a chance to scrutinize your objectives, work out how to align your objectives with what you are trying to evaluate, and look and learn how to use some of the best practice evaluation tools and techniques to do all this.

Presenter
The workshop will be run by Dr Cobi Smith from RiAus. Cobi has done extensive research into evaluation techniques and she presented at PCST2012 on evaluating public engagement with science.
