The ASC ACT committee, in conjunction with Biotext, is offering a half-day
workshop: Improving your writing: how to edit your own work.

In this half-day workshop, you will learn how to identify common problems
in science writing for general audiences. Common structure, style,
formatting, spelling and grammar issues will be covered.

You will learn about the different stages of the editing process
(substantive editing, copyediting and proofreading) and how to apply these
to your own writing. Advice on paragraph structure, style and formatting
and common spelling and grammar issues will also be covered by the
experienced presenter from Biotext.

This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to improve their writing for
