The patenting of human genes is an issue of importance for researchers and practitioners in the areas of ethics, law, politics and policy, intellectual property, biotechnology and life sciences.
The University of Adelaide is convening a forum to discuss these issues and provide an opportunity for those working in Adelaide to discuss opportunities for future research and collaboration on related topics.
A short description of the forum with links to more information is available at http://blogs.adelaide.edu.au/hss/2012/10/22/patenting-human-genes-workshop-ethics-regulation-and-innovation-in-biotechnology/
We would appreciate it if you could circulate it further to appropriate people within your networks.
