Be great if we also included top women speakers....
And let's also not forget people within our own science communication
community who are doing great things and are excellent speakers; too
often I think we go 'outside' to find speakers and ignore what those
within our community can offer, including those from the younger
generation (to me).
However, I also agree with Sarah K's suggestion to have speakers talk
about how science is perceived by those in other community sectors.

Thanks David.
Ian Chubb spoke at our 2012 conference (the video:
http://bit.ly/16i0eGe) and was mentioned frequently as a highlight due
to the big picture view he offered (courtesy the post-conference
feedback survey).
People have also mentioned Dan Kahan, Andy Thomas, and more about the US
Govt SciCom Programs.
We can't make any promises of course but at least we can be looking in
the direction you all point to :-)
Any others?
Cheers,
Kali

Ian Chubb is an obvious choice in the light of his new strategic plan to
promote STEM. The engagement of sci-comm in all that should be a major
theme at the gathering.

Dear ASC-Listers,
If you were to attend the ASC2014 Conference being held in Brisbane
3rd-5th February.....
Who would you like to invite to be a keynote speaker and why?
For those who missed it, the ASC2012 conference highlights video is
