Vacancy Ref: OEH 158-13

Provide advanced technical and analytical support for the effective communication and knowledge brokering of science in OEH. Provide technical and plain English editorial input and facilitate science communication through planning, training, reviewing content and application of multimedia tools.

Selection Criteria

1.       Scientific qualifications, proven knowledge and demonstrated experience in brokering knowledge and the effective communication of science including skills in plain English writing and scientific editing.

2.       Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering rigorous science projects including the coordination and application of scientific rigour.

3.       Demonstrated ability to work within a flexible, multi-disciplinary team maximising opportunities for collaboration and delivering customer focussed results from science programs.

4.       Proven ability to contribute to the Science Division and OEH corporate priorities.

5.       Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with peers in OEH, other government agencies and external clients and collaborators.

6.       Ability to manage people and develop staff.

7.       Outstanding communication, interpersonal, training and presentation skills, with particular emphasis on ability to engage with and present technical knowledge to a wide range of technical and non-technical groups through a range of media.

8.       Demonstrated experience in science project management including budgets, allocation of resources, and ability to report on results achieved.
