> Can You Make Science Sing?
> One of the most exciting science-based conservation projects in Australia
is about to get underway and we are looking for a gifted science
communications specialist to drive the production and promotion of a series
of landmark studies called the Outback Papers. You'll work closely with one
of Australia's leading ecologists as well as a team of passionate
conservation advocates, and use your talents to turn authoritative science
into compelling, accessible communications products for a wide range of
audiences - from decision-makers to school children.
> You may have trained as a scientist but have since successfully developed
your communications and media skills, or have honed your communications and
media training in the science and/or conservation sectors. Either way, this
unique role requires highly developed skills. Ideally, you'll see this as
an opportunity to establish a long-term consultancy relationship to help us
achieve ambitious conservation results.
> This sort of opportunity doesn't come up very often. If you tick the
right boxes, contact Amber Davis from the Pew Charitable Trusts at
amberdavis at westnet.com.au for a copy of the position description.
Applications should also be sent to Amber. If you have further questions
about the role, please call Paul Sheridan on 0410 516 656. Applications
close COB 21st of March.
