   DCS Technical and it associate are respected, independent consultancies
   based in the Sydney CBD. We specialise in providing support to companies
   wishing to access entitlements under long-standing Government programmes,
   with clients across a very broad range of industry sectors: IT, finance,
   manufacturing, mining, chemistry, biological and medical, and more.

   Due to rapid growth, we need a technical writer to assist in
   articulating the clients’ “story”, and over time to build up to
   assisting clients with the preparation of key technical documents and
   reports. This requires the technical writer to be able to quickly
   develop an understanding of the client’s R&D, to ask the right questions
   to help extract the necessary information from the clients, and (over time)
   to help the clients write the copy that will ultimately form part of
   Government entitlement registration process.

   About the role:


     Work from the city office and/or your home office

     Travel to meet clients, mostly around the Sydney metro area

     Build a broad knowledge of a range of industries

     Work full time or part time, with mostly flexible hours to suit your

   The ideal candidate would have the following:


     Outstanding communications, with a particular emphasis on written

     A ‘journalistic’ approach to technical writing: the ability to
   summarise technical information, and rapidly articulate this in
   easy-to-understand copy

     The ability to address technical information from a broad range of

     The ability to progress multiple ‘projects’ in parallel

     Tertiary qualifications plus a minimum of five years of experience in
   science and/or business

     R&D experience would be helpful, but not required
