Dear all WA-ASC members,
In the aftermath of heightened science engagement love around the country, we have an event targeted for YOU, with an invitation to attend a lunchtime Q&A with Derek Muller in the Scitech Science Theatre on Thursday August 27.
The session will run from 1.15 pm to 2.15 pm and will focus around "making the experience in a science (centre /event...) relevant to everyday life - what's worked for me and what hasn't!"
Derek Muller is an Australian-Canadian physicist, science communicator, filmmaker and television presenter, best known for his Youtube channel Veritasium and his role as a presenter on ABC's television program Catalyst. He also appears as the host of the documentary series Uranium - Twisting the Dragon's Tail. (SBS - 9, 16, 23 August).
Supported by Inspiring Australia and Scitech, Derek will also be attending Science Café, giving a "town hall meeting" this Wednesday evening (for booking tickets http://derekmuller.eventbrite.com) and attending "Busk after Dusk" in Fremantle on Thursday evening http://www.scienceweek.net.au/science-busk-at-dusk-scitech-fun-for-adults-only/ ).
Hope to see you there!
