The Opportunity

An opportunity exists for a Writer and Editor to join the Eliminate Dengue
Program. The Eliminate Dengue Program strives towards the elimination of
Dengue and Zika through advanced natural biological measures. Spanning the
globe, with activities taking place in Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia,
Colombia and Brazil, the Eliminate Dengue team is constantly growing to
meet these global threats.

As the successful candidate you will create a range of written content,
including instructional text, SOPs, and narrative stories for our online
learning platform, Catalyst, to help support the global activities of this
dynamic team. Working with a small but dedicated team you will be able to
produce engaging written material in different styles, such as technical or
narrative formats. To do this you absorb and synthesise information
quickly, catering your communications effectively to a range of different
audiences.

Working as part of a small team you will write on topics such as science,
community engagement, and project coordination, while at times providing
administrative assistance to ensure these communications reach their target
audiences.

To be successful in this role you must have a background in science,
science communication or technical writing, have good interpersonal skills
and be able to write in a clear and engaging manner.

This is a full time position, but flexible working hours can be negotiated.
