Dear ASC-List,

Today's member guest is Vice President on the ASC National Executive (
http://www.asc.asn.au/about/) and major sponsor and host of the recent
national conference at The Science Exchange in Adelaide, ASC2017 (

Dr Lisa Bailey is Program Manager at RiAus, Australia’s Science Channel (
https://www.australiascience.tv/). Starting out in research she obtained
her PhD in biochemistry at the University of Adelaide. She has worked as a
science communicator at The University of Adelaide, with Bridge8 and with
the Royal Institution of Great Britain, and has been at The Royal
Institution of Australia in Adelaide since it opened in 2009.

In 2017 Lisa started as a part-time Teaching Specialist at Flinders
University teaching into the Science Communication and Policy degree.

She has long been an active contributor to national science communication
conferences, including producing and chairing the session on 'Post-Fact' at
ASC2017 and 'The Cultural Value of Science Communication' at ASC2016.
