[ASC-list] NSW Branch AGM and Final 2017 Event (John Pickrell and all things dinosaur)

The NSW branch has scheduled its AGM and final event for the year for 6:30pm on 30th September.
Notice of the NSW Branch of the Australian Science Communicators AGM
Nominations for President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee Member are open to current financial members of the ASC and must be received no later than 23rd November. Nominations must be signed by two other financial members.
Elections will occur at the AGM on 30th November and only current financial members can vote.
If you are unable to attend and wish to vote then you may nominate another current financial member as your proxy (max of 5 proxies per member). Your proxy form must be handed to the chair before the start of the AGM.

John Pickrell, Author and Editor, Australian Geographic
John Pickrell is an award-winning journalist, the editor of Australian Geographic magazine and the author of Flying Dinosaurs and Weird Dinosaurs. He has worked in London, Washington DC and Sydney for publications including New Scientist, Science, Science News and Cosmos Magazine. John’s articles can also be found online and in print at BBC Wildlife, National Geographic, Scientific American, Focus and the ABC. When John isn’t writing or editing these days he can be found on fossil digs in the Australian outback or Gobi Desert. He has been a finalist in the Australian Museum’s Eureka prizes three times, won an Earth Journalism Award and featured in The Best Australian Science Writing in 2011, 2014 and 2015.
