*A professional development forum, designed by and for communications
professionals working in Victoria’s scientific, medical and health sectors.*
*Tuesday 24 April, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm*
Join your colleagues and peers in scientific, medical and health
communications portfolios from across Victoria to share ideas, knowledge
Our third annual forum will focus on the value of communications to our
organisations and more broadly to the sector.
In understanding this topic, we will:
- *hear *from a scientific icon,
- *determine* meaningful metrics,
- *discuss* our successes and lessons learnt, and
- *gain* insights from one of Australia’s most influential voices.
*Professor Peter Doherty AC* - Immunologist and pathologist, author,
tweeter, speaker and Nobel Prize winner, *Professor Peter Doherty* will
present on the importance of health and science communications, to our
organisations and the public.
*Clementine Ford -* Writer, speaker, feminist thinker, Facebook warrior and
columnist, *Clementine* *Ford* will lead a discussion on our
female-dominated workforce and seek to understand its impact on the value
of our profession.
This event is relevant to directors, department heads, managers, advisors
and officers working in media, communications, public affairs, marketing
and event management roles.
