WILDLIFE DETECTIVES: The Story of Genome Research, Discovery and Exploration at Australia's First Museum
6pm, Wednesday 5 December  | The University of Western Australia

Hear Professor Rebecca Johnson, Director of the Australian Museum Research Institute (AMRI), describe the breadth of AMRI research, how the museum uses their natural science collections and the importance of museum research to engage, educate and inspire custodianship in the next generation of researchers.

Learn about Professor Johnson’s work in

- policing the illegal rhino horn trade,
- protecting Australia’s borders from invasive species, and
- leading the first de novo mammalian (koala) genome to be sequenced and assembled by an Australian group.
