Dear PCST community members,
Please check out AND share the call for Fellowship applications for the 10th edition of Erice International School of Science Journalism. This year again, 35 scholarships are available for young science journalists and communicators.
The 2020 edition of the course focuses on Physics for Human Health: Fundamental and Accelerators Science for Medicine. The course will be held from March 21st to 26th, 2020  in Italy, in the beautiful town of Erice, Sicily.
The deadline for applications is:  January 13th, 2020.
About the school: The Erice International Science Journalism School is a summer school organized by the Ettore Majorana Centre with the support of Centro Fermi, the Italian Institute for Nuclear Physics and the science magazine "Le Scienze", Italian edition of Scientific American. The course is taught in English and includes both lectures and interactive laboratories held by international experts in scientific research, journalism and communications.
About the course: The theme of the 2020 edition of the school is Physics for Human Health: Fundamental and Accelerators Science for Medicine. One of the most direct ways in which Particle Physics and Accelerators Science impact our lives is through their applications in medicine. The advancement of these technologies make available new cancer treatments, advanced imaging and better radio-pharmaceuticals. The course will focus on some outstanding techniques recently developed for life sciences and on future perspectives in the field.
