Hello everyone

Grants are now available to encourage researchers to work with Queensland
citizen scientists in their science projects.

Queensland Citizen Science Grants (
https://www.chiefscientist.qld.gov.au/strategy-priorities/queensland-citizen-science-strategy/)
provide funding of up to $30,000 to applicants over a period of up to three
years.

The grants are designed to boost community participation as citizen
scientists in research projects and to encourage researchers to work with
Queenslanders.

The grants stem from the new Queensland Citizen Science strategy (
https://www.chiefscientist.qld.gov.au/strategy-priorities/queensland-citizen-science-strategy/)
and applications are sought for projects that actively engage citizen
scientists and address one or more of the strategy goals:

* raise awareness - work together to ensure the Queensland community has
an understanding of citizen science and the projects that are relevant to
Queensland

* make it easy for our community to find and participate in projects, and
for scientists to recruit and train citizen scientists

* grow the community of citizen scientists and scientists working together
to make scientific discoveries.

Visit the Office of the Queensland Chief Scientist website (
https://www.chiefscientist.qld.gov.au/science-comms/citizen-science-grants/about/)
for more details. Applications close 1:00 pm AEST Monday 25 March.
