Educational Specialist (Maternity Leave Contract)

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Teacher based in Adelaide who can help develop and deliver high quality factual content aligned to the Australian National Curriculum to be used in schools all over the country via our online portals, with a focus on STEM.  This role is offered on a 0.8 - 1 FTE basis to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months. For the right candidate this could be offered as an independent contractor agreement.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  *   Education resource creation (both digital and print)
  *   STEM Careers content production (both video and written)
  *   Reporting on education activities and outcomes
  *   Working with other departments to create cross curricular educational resources
  *   Organising educational events

The ideal candidate will be:

  *   Qualified teacher, eligible for, or registered with SA TRB (South Australian Teacher's Registration Board)
  *   Science, Maths & Technology subject specialist - familiar with National Curriculum requirements
  *   2 years + Classroom experienced
  *   Experienced in digital resource production
  *   Proven project manager with the ability to prioritise under pressure
  *   Able to produce reporting for a range of stakeholders
  *   Excellent oral and written communicator, have interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships
  *   Effective in the use of innovations and technologies in teaching practices


You have to be a current Australian citizen/resident with appropriate work visas to apply for this role. In addition, it is a requirement of this position that the incumbent maintain a current Child Related Employment Screening which is satisfactory to The Royal Institution of Australia in accordance with the Children's Protection Act 1993 (SA).
