Hoping you're all well.
A quick note to say that entries for the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes<https://australianmuseum.net.au/eurekaprizes> close this coming Friday 15 May at 7pm AEST.
This year there are 17 prizes on offer across the categories of Research & Innovation, Leadership, Science Engagement and School Science. Prizes cover a broad spectrum of scientific disciplines and aim to recognise the work of scientists, researchers and science communicators at all career stages.
Entrants can either enter themselves, or be nominated by others, and there is a prize pool of $170,000 to be shared between winners.
The prizes that I think may be of particular interest to this group are:
* The Australian Museum Eureka Prize for Science Journalism<https://australianmuseum.net.au/get-involved/eureka-prizes/enter/science-journalism/>, awarded to a journalist or journalist team whose work is assessed as having most effectively communicated scientific issues to the public. Work can be submitted via the online entry system<https://eurekaprizes.awardsplatform.com/> in a few easy steps.
* The Finkel Foundation Eureka Prize for Long-Form Science Journalism<https://australianmuseum.net.au/get-involved/eureka-prizes/enter/long-form-science-journalism/>, awarded for an engaging, accurate and expertly crafted story focused on a scientific topic. Work can be submitted via the online entry system<https://eurekaprizes.awardsplatform.com/> in a few easy steps.
* The Celestino Eureka Prize for Promoting Understanding of Science<https://australianmuseum.net.au/get-involved/eureka-prizes/enter/promoting-understanding-australian-science-research/>, awarded to an individual scientist who has shared their expertise with a broad audience - informing, enthusing and engaging the public. Individuals entering this prize need to upload an activity summary, response to the assessment criteria, 3 x assessor reports and a CV to the online entry system<https://eurekaprizes.awardsplatform.com/>.
