Hi Clare
Re transport, I have taken several leafblower hovercrafts internationally in second hand suit bags and boogie board bags, just needs to go oversize (and sometimes extra $$), so don’t feel constrained with that size if you want to go lightly larger.
For the ‘printing’, more complex, but etching, engraving or total cut throughs for headings will never wear off or fade. Stainless sounds like a good choice need marine grade.
Love the idea for local input! Perhaps you could showcase Niue traditional knowledge re tides, etc. alongside the other info – I saw some amazing seasons charts that combined Aboriginal and western season knowledge in the NT, neat concept.
Good luck!
Graham

Morning brains trust!!
We need to produce an education sign for our tide gauge in Niue (Niue is a dot of an island east of Fiji; one plane in and out per week!). I need help with how and where for production please!
Please consider
* We would like to make the signage as hard wearing and durable as possible. All signage gets eaten in the Pacific by the sun and the wind and the salty air. (As does all outdoor signage, but particularly in the Pacific!)
* boss thinks maybe: Needs to be stainless steel or aluminum - to suit marine environment. Artwork is the other issue needs to be uv stable
* Our lead technician in Adelaide is going to Niue in two weeks (leaves 24 Nov.) and wants to take the sign. I am based in Melbourne and can manage production from here.
* "The board needs to be 700mm x 500mm maximum to fit in our luggage" (says our tech!). I'm wondering if you could do a hard wearing sticker that would roll up if effective; easier to transport?! Suggestions welcome!
Any suggestions on best production and transport welcome. Thanks in advance. No - I don't need an island courier at this point(!!). Sample attached (not aluminium).
Thanks in advance. Kind regards to all
Clare
Ps there is a different sign in Kiribati (also another Pacific dot island!) with different info that was painted by the locals. However, the paint wears off, and the dial rusted over so could not be moved! No dial for this Job, but part of lessons learnt!
