Heather Massie, an award-winning actress based in New York, has won a Fulbright Fellowship to tour her play HEDY! The Life & Inventions of Hedy Lamarr.  

Her play celebrates Hedy as a Hollywood film actress and genius inventor. In the 1930s-50s Hedy was known as the most beautiful woman in the world, but her intellect was often overlooked. Hedy invented things in her spare time in Hollywood, and developed technology for torpedoes during WWII. The same technology launched today's wireless revolution and is used in our cell phones, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. 

Her play has toured 15 countries and won 28 awards. 

For the week 1-8 September, she will be in South Australia and open to invitations to perform or run workshops.

She does a range of things:
talk about the amazing career of Hedy Lamarr
practical workshops in improvisations
perform her play, either the full version (100 minutes) or an abbreviated one (50 minutes)
discuss play writing with students 11 years plus
meet with science communicators (perhaps take her out to dinner?)
